Cooperation from Hollywood

A Hollywood team comprised of top experts from the animation industry will rewrite the story based on the original comic book and produce the film. Then what special qualities does this comic book have to arouse the interest from the Hollywood team?

Zheng Jun replied by attributing it to the whole innovative concept which encompasses three captivating elements in western society, the mysterious land of Tibet, the miraculous Tibetan mastiff and the rock music.

David Miller, one of the producers also credited the combination of pop music, Tibetan mastiff and the wonderful land of Tibet. He said he had been to Tibet and appreciated the magnificent landscape there.

However, Tibet had not appeared in a Hollywood animated film before. He liked "the gentleness of musicians and the discipline of Tibetan Buddhism" that form a conflict in a dramatic storyline. He added that it is intriguing to see a religion or a “spirit” that can hold together many aspects of a character such as desires, dreams and hormones.

"Tibetan Rock Dog" will be produced in the United States and is estimated to appear on screen in 2014.
