Xi has spent 39 days on five visits to 14 countries on five continents since he was elected as the Chinese president in March last year.

The general idea of China's new leadership is to integrate diplomacy towards the great powers, neighbors, and developing countries with multilateral diplomacy. And an all-directional diplomacy layout can be seen from the roadmap of Xi's overseas visits.

Media comments said Xi has ushered in a new era of "summit diplomacy". Take his maiden overseas visit in March last year for example, Xi attended 66 activities, held meetings with 32 heads of state and political leaders, and delivered more than 20 important speeches in nine days.

During his latest visit to Sochi, Russia, Xi attended 12 activities in 43 hours.
