The group study system of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee was established in December 2002.

There have been 12 group study sessions since the new CPC central leadership took office, basically once a month. Xi presided over these group study sessions and delivered speeches.

63 Meetings

Xi attended more than 60 various kinds of meetings, one in each week on average (according to incomplete statistics) during the 15 months.

Schedule of activities

1. Countless activities, including meeting foreign political dignitaries, attending various activities and participating in the democratic-life meetings of his point of contact, etc.

2. In public holidays, Xi also has schedule for activities. But during Spring Festival, Labor Day and Mid-Autumn Day, there are few schedules.

3. Limited number of cultural activities, including watching Chinese traditional opera and watching horse racing on the winter Nadam Fair of the Mongolian people.

4. Xi loves reading, swimming, climbing, football, volleyball, basketball and tennis and martial arts.

Considering the time spent on these activities, you will agree with what Xi said to Russian media: "Doing my job, you practically don't have any time left for yourself."

During public holidays, Xi's schedule for activities are as follows:

On the New Year’s Day last year, Xi gave a speech on the New Year Tea Party of CPPCC; During Qingming Festival holidays, Xi met several government heads attending the Bo'ao Forum; During Dragon Boat Festival holidays, Xi visited Jiuquan, to bolster up the morale of astronauts on the outgoing Shenzhou 10 space mission; During the golden week holidays of last October, Xi visited Indonesia and Malaysia to attend APEC summit; On the seventh day of Chinese new year, Xi arrived in Sochi, Russia, to attend the opening ceremony of Winter Olympics.

On Xi's tight schedule, there is a limited number of cultural activities. Last March, Xi watched an art performance "Beautiful China" at the Kremlin Hall of Moscow, along with Russian President Putin and other political figures.

At the end of last December, Xi, along with six other permanent members of CPC Politbureau, attended the new year's opera party. Classic pieces were featured, including "Heavenly Match" of Huangmei opera and "Yang Silang Visits His Mother" of Peking opera.

On Jan. 20, 2014, he attended a festive art performance for PLA veterans and former officers in Beijing.
