People take part in a symposium about setting a national memorial day for the Nanjing Massacre victims in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, Feb. 26, 2014. Experts and scholars, relatives of Nanjing Massacre victims and massacre survivors attended the symposium on Wednesday. They expressed support for a national memorial day dedicated to the Nanjing Massacre victims. Chinese lawmakers are mulling making December 13 as a national memorial day to commemorate more than 300,000 civilians and unarmed soldiers killed by Japanese invading troops in the Nanjing Massacre lasting for six weeks after the Japanese aggressors occupied Nanjing on Dec. 13, 1937.
