Belarus, on behalf of 70 countries, recently delivered a joint statement at the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council to reiterate their support for China's practice of "one country, two systems" in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), emphasizing the special administrative region is an inseparable part of China. China, by setting a target of achieving a GDP growth of over 6 percent in its government work report this year, signals to the world its resolution and confidence to keep promoting economic recovery. The target, without cap, aims to guarantee a lower limit.

China's democratic systems ensure people run the country

Data unveiled during China's recently-concluded "two sessions", the annual sessions of China's national legislature and top political advisory body, have further shown the world the vigorous vitality and high efficiency of the country's socialist democracy with Chinese characteristics. Statistics show that all 9,180 suggestions submitted by lawmakers to last year's annual session of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, had been handled by late January, with feedback given to relevant NPC deputies.
