BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- From Wednesday to Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the Uzbek city of Samarkand, and pay state visits to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries have maintained sound development since the regional organization was established. Since the SCO’s founding in 2001, the total economy and foreign trade volume of its member states have grown by 12 percent on average per year.
