New Internet Virus Spreads to China

A new type of Internet virus, I-worm/win32.Binladen, has spread to China. According to the analysis by technical personnel, the virus, a sly and advanced plasmodium, is said to be able to avoid detection by common anti-virus software and has immence destructive power.

New Internet Virus Occurs

A new type of Internet virus, I-worm/win32.Binladen, has spread to China. Jiang Min Company, a member of National Computer Virus Emergency Center, announced they had "captured" the virus. According to the analysis by technical personnel, the virus, a sly and advanced plasmodium, is said to be able to avoid detection by common anti-virus software.

Virus Has Immense Destructive Power

Named by its separate frame, the virus would cause infected computers to constantly log on websites. Repeated commands are needed before computers are shut down successfully. With infection, important data in users' computers would be damaged and under certain conditions, a paragraph of English would suddenly appear on the screen with content directed mainly against the US president Bush.

It's very hard to kill this virus, technical experts in Jiang Min Company said, adding that the virus itself changes once after infecting one target in an attempt to avoid detection by anti-virus software. Experts recommend users to upgrade their software and start to use monitoring technologies.
