The Fifth Session of the Ninth NPC is due to open Tuesday in the Great Hall of the People, Zeng Jianhui, spokesman for the session, told a press conference.

More than 2,500 journalists from Chinese and foreign media organizations gather here to cover the annual sessions of the NPC and China's top advisory body, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

The journalists will have access to the opening meeting, closing meeting and three other plenary meetings of the session, Zeng said.
