According to incomplete statistics, Japanese invaders massacred as many as 5 million Chinese civilians and soldiers during the "Sept. 18 Incident" 1931, in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province. What is widely known, some 5000-6000 Chinese had been sent to the notorious Japs Unit 731 as live human beings to have tests on.
Reporters witnessed a multitude of convincing evidences from Unit 731 Research Institute, those evidences revealed Japanese invaders' atrocities killing live Chinese in their "Unit 731" germ lab.
We are determined to apply for Japs Unit 731 slaughtering site to be listed as world heritage", said Jin Chengmin, head of the 731 Research Institute.
The "731" site gives the biggest number of germ warfare victims' remains in world war history, not like the Hiroshima atom bomb, it is much more severe than that of the Oswiecim site.
The two have been listed as world heritage in 1976 (Oswiecim site) and 1996 (Hiroshima atom bomb site), respectively.
The 731 site is China's cultural resource, it should become an education base for patriotism and world anti-fascism, said Jin.
Protection and exploration of the "7.31" site will be carried out when its original appearance is kept. The site will not be planted too much, nor add colors, it will give visitors a feeling of real, desolate, miserable atmosphere. Introduction plate of the site will be carved in Chinese, Japanese and English.
