President Hu Jintao has called for joint efforts by the whole Communist Party of China (CPC) and the whole people to well educate juveniles on ideology and ethics, in order to foster builders and successors of the socialist cause with China's own characteristics.

The president called China's 367 million population, referring to those under 18, the hope of the Party, the state, and the Chinese nationality. He pledged to make them firmly determined to love the motherland and dedicate themselves to the prosperity, richness and mightiness of the motherland.
