HSI Services announces no change made to Hang Seng Index

HSI Services Limited announced here Friday that no changes will be made to the constituent stocksof the Hang Seng Index.

The market value coverage ratio of the Hang Seng Index constituent stocks remained above the target market value coverageratio of 70 percent, at 73.5 percent as of March 31, 2004, according to HSI Services Limited. For the 12 months that ended inMarch 2004, the average market value coverage ratio was 75.3 percent.

No changes will be made to the Hang Seng Stock Classification System following its regular annual review, it said.

The system was adopted in 2001 for the classification of the 200 stocks in the Hang Seng Composite Index Series into nine industries and 22 sectors.
