font size

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday evening called chief of Indian ruling Congress party Sonia Ghandi, greeting her on Congress' electoral victory in India's recent general elections, according to the state-run Pakistan TV (PTV).

Musharraf also invited Sonia Ghandi to visit Pakistan, but PTV did not give more details about the invitation.

During their ten-minute talks, Musharraf greeted Sonia Ghandi on the election victory of her party and both leaders hoped to continue the composite dialogue process which started early this year, said PTV.

Musharraf Sunday called Manmohan Singh and congratulated him onassuming office of the Indian prime minister.

Both Pakistani and Indian leaders have expressed their determination to go ahead with the peace process so that they could find means and ways to solve peacefully all the outstanding issues including Kashmir between the two countries.
