China's biggest think tank, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, published Monday the green book of population and labor -- a report on the Chinese population and labor issues for the year 2004.
The book, with main topics of demographic transition and educational development, explores the opportunities brought by the population changes and the way to make a equal share of the educational resources.
It includes three special reports and nine chapters.
The three special reports, the first part of the green book, analyze the employment situation and Chinese family planning policy in 2003 and make suggestions on the country's employment situation in 2004.
The nine chapters, the second part of the green book, lay out the problems in Chinese educational development, especially in the gender difference and difference between rural and urban areas, proposing solutions to the problems.
