Cross-sea bridge at Hangzhou Bay under construction

The bridge starts from Jiaxing City in the north and ends at Ningbo City in the south, covering a full length of 36 km. After completion, it will cut the land distance between Ningbo and Shanghai by 120 km. With a total investment of 11.8 billion yuan, the whole project is expected to be finished by 2008.

Once finished, the bridge will become the world longest cross-sea bridge.

The southern landing stage extending to the sea.The project includes construction of a 9.3 km southern landing stage and a 1.5 km northern landing stage. By now the southern one has been completed and 1.3 km finished for the northern one.
