Li Changchun calls for concrete measures to educate juveniles

The Chinese government should take concrete measures to implement the ideological and ethic work for juveniles in the next phase, senior Chinese official Li Changchun said Tuesday.

Li, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau ofthe Chinese Communist Party Central Committee, made the remarks after hearing the work report on strengthening and improving the ideology and ethics of Chinese juveniles by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, All- China Women's Federation and some other institutions.

Li said that the decision on promoting Chinese youngsters' healthy growth made by the central authority has won applaud from all walks of the society, and China needs to take concrete measures to implement the decision now.

He stressed that local governments across the country should solve problems of most negative influences on minors, such as unhealthy electronic games and pornographic materials.
