81 percent of China's air conditioners qualified

Some 81 percent of air conditioners made in China are qualified, according to the latest sample survey conducted by the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The survey showed 17 out of 21 brands of air conditioners made by 21 factories in Guangdong, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Liaoning met the national quality requirements.

Among the 18 brands of wall air conditioners surveyed, 14 were qualified, and all three kinds of floor air conditioners under investigation met the quality standards, according to the administration.
