A total of 12 typhoon-related injuries have been reported in Hong Kong so far on Friday. All the injured persons have been sent to hospitals for treatment, with eight of them already being discharged from hospital.

Two of the injured were hit by fallen objects in North Point and Tsuen Wan respectively, according to a government press release.

Hong Kong was spared of major damage during the passage of tropical storm Kompasu Friday. As the storm was moving further away from the territory leaving patches of rain behind, the No. 8 signal was replaced by the strong wind signal No. 3 at 7:20 p.m. Friday.

Public transport companies began to resume normal service after 8:30 p.m. During the passage of the typhoon, 14 arrival and 13 departure air flights were delayed while one arrival and one departure flights were canceled. In addition, another Hong Kong bound flight landed in another airport because of the bad weather,according to the Airport Authority.

The Buildings Department has received a report on fallen concrete at Belcher's Tower in Western District. There were two reports on collapsed scaffolding, one at a construction site in Cyberport and another at Kowloon City Road. But no injury was resulted from these cases.

A minor flooding was recorded at Lockhart Road but no landslide took place. Nineteen cases of trees falling in various districts have been reported.

As at 7.30 p.m., the Home Affairs Department has provided shelter to 276 persons at 25 temporary shelters in various districts.
