font size

Opera Software has signed a licensing agreement with China's Datang Mobile to provide its full Internet browser to Datang's third generation handsets.

According to the agreement, Datang will offer a 3G mobile phone solution with Opera to provide users of the new system a feature-rich experience with Internet access. CRIENGLISH.com reported Tuesday.

Datang Mobile is one of China's largest government owned telecom equipment manufacturers. It has made the world's first TD-SCDMA 3G handset solution and the world's first commercial TD-SCDMA handset.

TD-SCDMA is among 3G standards in the world and is set to be used in China by mid-2005.
