"Patrouille de France," (PAF) the famous aerobatics team with French Air Force, will present aerobatics shows in China this October, announced a Chinese military officer.
The aerobatics team would be within the delegation of French President Jacques Chirac, who plans to visit China this fall, Zhou Bo, an officer with the Chinese Ministry of Defense, said at a press conference Thursday.
Jean-Marc Girbe, head of PAF advance team to China, said that the PAF will present Chinese audiences with latest aerobatics maneuvers and formations. He expressed hope that the PAF would have the chance to fly over China's image-setting symbols -- the Great Wall.
Information from the PAF showed that the aerobatics team includes 10 high-performance Alphajets, which have good handling qualities and maneuverability. The two shows will be tentatively scheduled on October 9-10 in Beijing.
Besides Beijing, the PAF will also visit Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, Zhuhai, a coastal city of south China's Guangdong Province, and Hong Kong.
