The frontier troops of China and Pakistan hold a joint anti-terror military exercise "friendship-2004" on Aug 6.

This is the first time that the two countries hold joint anti-terror military exercise. Around 200 soldiers from PLA and Pakistani frontier troops will participate in the exercise. The exercise includes two parts: headquarters exercise and live ammunition exercise.

The exercise aims to consolidate and strengthen friendly cooperation between two armies, enhance their joint anti-terror combat ability, curb "three forces", enlarge the cooperation in non-traditional safety fields and maintain regional safety and stability.
