Double Olympic gold medallist Li Xiaopeng said Saturday that he is well prepared for the upcoming Olympic Games.
The Chinese gymnastics team arrived here Friday afternoon after winding up a one-week training in France.
After walking away with two gold medals in Sydney four years ago, Li now intends to emulate the three titles won by his idol and compatriot Li Ning at the Los Angeles Games 20 years ago.
The 2003 World Gymnast of the Year is eyeing success in the parallel bars, the vault and the men's team event.
Along with the bars, Li has also been unparalleled on the vault in major competitions over the past two seasons.
"I have no preferrance between these two disciplines (bars and vault). It would be wonderful if I could win both," said the 23-year-old.
"I'm now in good form and ready for the competition," he added.
