Some diplomats from Chinese Embassy to Russia have photos taken in "Deng Xiaoping Street" in Slavinoin, over 50 kilometers north of Moscow, Aug. 12, 2004. The diplomats came here Wednesday to visit "Deng Xiaoping Street" and cherish the memory of the achievements obtained by Deng. In the late 1980s, Research and Technology Complex "Eye Microsurgery", founded by the late famous ophthalmologist Svyatoslav Fyodorov, built a villa community in Slavinoin. On May 5, 1997, at Fyodorov's suggestions, a 700-meter street in the community was named "Deng Xiaoping Street" to commemorate the late Chinese leader.
