Radcliffe's marathon medal hope dashed

Britain's Paula Radcliffe's hope of winning the women's marathon gold has been dashed as she stopped after 36 kilometers at the Olympic Games in Athens on August 22.

Radcliffe, who holds world's best time of women 's marathon, fell one minute behind leader Mizuki Noguchi and was in fourth place before stopping and bursting into tears.

She slows and then stops, unable to go any further.
