Palestinian PM meets French, German FMs

Visiting Palestinian Prime MinisterAhmed Qurei on Tuesday held separate talks with German and Frenchforeign ministers Joschka Fischer and Michel Barnier, Egypt'sofficial MENA news agency reported.

The talks were held at the Mediterranean port city ofAlexandria.

Qurei discussed with Fischer the latest developments in theoccupied Palestinian territories and efforts exerted by severalparties, including Egypt, to calm down the situation and implementthe roadmap peace plan.

In addition, the Palestinian prime minister exchanged views withBarnier on efforts to push forward the stalled Mideast peaceprocess.

Qurei, who kicked off his visit to Egypt Monday night, met withEgyptian President Hosni Mubarak earlier in the day.
