Vice premier Zeng: China keeps its WTO promises
font size

Vice premier Zeng Peiyan says China will implement all its promises made on joining the World Trade Organization and improve justice and transparency in trade policies and laws and regulations so that China will deal properly with problems in international economic cooperation.

Speaking at the 2004 China Enterprise Summit, Zeng Peiyan said China has revised nearly three thousand laws and regulations according to the requirements of WTO rules. In addition, China's market economic system has been established.

China Radio International reported Sunday.

Zeng said China thinks friction in international trade should be solved through equal consultation to avoid sanctions and other retaliatory measures.

He said scientific cooperation and technological transfer should be promoted and intellectual property rights protected while country-to-country economic policies should be coordinated to maintain economic security.
