To get a "China Green Card", a foreign friend has to pay 1,500 yuan as application fee, and 300 yuan for the card. The Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently gave a written reply to the Municipal Public Security Bureau concerning the standard for charge on application for a "China Green Card". For a foreigner to get a "China Green Card", he or she shall pay 1,800 yuan.
In publishing the written reply notice yesterday, the Website of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission said, according to the stipulations as set in the "Notice Concerning the Standard of Charge on Foreigners' Application for Permanent Residence" issued jointly by the State Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance, the standard charge on foreigners' application for permanent residence thus handled is 1,500 yuan per person. When "Foreigner's Permanent Residence Permit" is issued, the standard charge is 300 yuan per certificate.
For a foreigner who has obtained the qualification of permanent residence in China, or the validity period of whose "permanent residence permit" has expired, or who needs a change in content, and so applies for a change or a reissue of a "Foreigner Permanent Residence Permit", he or she should pay 300 yuan for each certificate; for a foreigner who asks for a new "Foreigner Permanent Residence Permit" because the original one is lost or damaged, he or she shall pay 600 yuan for each permit.
