The latest statistics from China's State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) show that the three largest Chinese oil groups, PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC, have produced 126.375 million tons of crude oil in the first eight months of this year, up 4.8 percent over the same period last year.
The three Chinese oil giants also produced 27.48 billion cubic meters of natural gas, an increase of 20.1 percent over the same period last year.
PetroChina and Sinopec sold 105.58 million tons of processed oil during the time, a sales growth of 22.3 percent.
In addition, the three companies have increased crude oil production capability by 14.015 million tons and that of natural gas by 1.65 billion tons during the period, according to the SASAC statistics.
