font size

The 6th China Shanghai International Arts Festival will open here on October 15 as scheduled, sources with the Ministry of Culture said.

As part of the festival's many activities, the 7th annual ministerial meeting of the International Network on Cultural Policy (INCP) will be held on the same day. Cultural ministers and representatives from 63 countries or international organizations such as UNESCO and WTO will attend.

INCP was founded in June 1998 in Ottawa, Canada. Its purpose was to build an informal platform for cultural ministers worldwide.

Participants to the two-day ministerial meeting will discuss topics such as rescue and protection of traditional culture in modernization, inheritance and innovation of traditional culture in modernization and cultural exchange and cooperation under globalization.
