New tech turns hundreds of years old date-palm trees a cash cow
There are more than 1000 Chinese date-palm trees which are over 300 years old in Huanghua city, Hebei Province. New technologies have made dates growing a pillar industry here. More than 6 million kilograms of dates was yielded last year. The trees, bringing 5000 yuan income, were called "green bank" by farmers.
