49 new laws come into effect

China brings 49 new laws and regulations into effect today on National Day to protect the rights and interests of special groups of people in Chinese society.

Some of the laws involve the protection of the interest of people who claim compensation from the country, criminal suspects, soldiers and car consumers.

Other new laws and regulations provide guidance for tasks involving prices, loans, security, and teachers.

Laws and regulations on land, environment and fishing industry are also included.
