Unit yields of many crops higher than world average: Chinese experts

Chinese experts say the unit yields of many crops in China are higher than world average, thanks to the application of agricultural technology.

The unit yields of rice, wheat and corn are 60%, 40% and 10% higher than world average, respectively.

With 1600 research institutes on agriculture, China has established a research and application system of agricultural science and technology.

In addition, China conducts related exchanges with 140 countries and regions in the world.
