According to CCTV.com latest statistics show that China's key large retailers realized sales of more than 4 billion yuan during the golden week during which National Day falls.

According to a survey conducted by China General Chamber of Commerce and China National Commercial Information Center sales during this year's National Day golden week reached 4.09 billion yuan, increasing by 15.16 percent year on year. Retail sales were 3.91 billion yuan, increasing by 13.69 percent year on year. Seventy-two percent of the 100 large retail stores had a year-on-year increase. Sales of the National Day holiday market were generally normal.

As learned the market during this year's National Day golden week had following characteristics: tourism heated up and sales promotion was efficient, which brought about an upward trend in the consumer market ability. Sales of home appliance goods and handsets were still strong. Among large home appliance goods high-end color TV sets such as rear-projection and plasma TV sets gradually seized the share of ordinary color TV sets; garment sales were brisk thanks to weather factor; besides, jewelries were in good demand during the holiday since National Day holiday is the best season for holding wedding ceremonies.
