Typhoon tears across Japan, killing 13
Typhoon No. 23 is pounding the Japanese archipelago northward, leaving at least 13 people dead as of Wednesday afternoon. Twelve people were missing and more than 100 injured in the 10th typhoon that hit Japan this year. Downpour brought by the typhoon has been witnessed in Tokyo forover 12 hours. Rainfall in central Tokyo area since the beginning of October has reached 56.5 millimeters, a record high in the past10 years.
