49 Iraqi recruits killed

The bodies of 49 executed Iraqi army recruits have been found near the town of Baquba, the police chief of the province of Diyala said. The victims had been returning home to the southern Shiite-dominated cities of Amara and Kut after a 20-day training course at a desert camp near the Iranian border, said local council member Khadija Mohammed when it is believed they were killed.
