Food poisoning sickens 160 company staff

Over 160 patients have recovered Tuesday after they were sickened by underdone kidney beans Monday in Xiamen City, a coastal city in east China's Fujian Province, according to local hospital authority.

The patients were sent to a local hospital Monday afternoon, suffering from sickness, nausea and vomiting. Preliminary diagnosis showed they were poisoned by underdone kidney beans, according to sources with the hospital.

The patients are all staff with ITT Cannon (Xiamen) ElectronicsInd. Co. Ltd.

The patients have recovered and most left the hospital.
