font size

China is willing to boost cooperation with Guinea, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) said Monday in Abidjan.

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with Guinean President Lansana Conte in Conakry, capital of Guinea.

He said both the Chinese government and the CPC are willing to promote relations with the Guinean government and the Party of Unity and Progress (PUP).

Wang also thanked the Guinean government for supporting China on the Taiwan and human rights issues.

Conte said the exchanges between the Guinean and Chinese ruling parties are conducive to relations between the two countries.

Guinea cherishes the friendship with China and is taking seriously in learning from China's experience in economic development, he said.

Wang also held talks on Monday with PUP Secretary General Sekou Konate.

Wang is leading a CPC delegation to visit Guinea at the invitation of the PUP.
