Argentina's Sports Minister Claudio Morresi said on Saturday that he will try to visit Sunday his compatriot and former soccer star Diego Maradona, who is in a local clinic undergoing treatment against drug-addiction.
Nevertheless, he cleared up he does not "wish to interfere in his treatment."
Morresi will conclude his visit in the island Monday after he signed an agreement of sports collaboration with his Cuban counterpat Humberto Rodriguez Saturday.
Maradona, 44, was hospitalized on September 20 at a Mental Health Center (Censam), located some 15 kilometers east of the capital, where he receives treatment against his addiction of cocaine, without receiving visits.
The former captain of the Argentine national soccer team, and world champion in 1986, arrived for the first time in Cuba to undergo medical and detox treatment in 2000
