Chinese junior women footballers return with honor

China's U-19 women's team has returned to China with the silver medal at the FIFA U-19 world championship.

The Steel-Rosebud received a warm welcome at the airport from Chinese soccer officials and reporters, including Vice President of China Football Association Xueli who gave them flowers.

Coach Wang Haiming is very satisfied with his team's performance in the championship.

"We are not an favorite team, nor do we have overwhelming power, but by the joint efforts of everyone, and to my delight, we took the world by surprise, we show the world that Chinese women soccer is still hopeful."

Wang Haiming's work with the under 19 women's team has been noticed in the football corridors of power in Beijing. He is expected to be named the head coach of Chinese women's national team soon.
