The Communist Party of China (CPC) is willing to expand exchanges with all political parties of Finland, Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said Tuesday.

Wang made the remarks in a meeting with Paavo Tapio Lipponen, Finnish parliament speaker and chairman of Finnish Social Democratic Party.

Wang said the CPC attached great importance to the friendly relations with all Finnish political parties, and expected to further promote the party-to-party relations between China and Finland.

Lipponen said major political parties from Finland were all devoted to strengthening friendly exchanges with the CPC, with a hope to inject new vitality into bilateral ties between the two countries through enhancing party-to-party exchanges.

Lipponen and his delegation were here on an official goodwill visit to China from Nov. 29 to Dec. 3 at the invitation of Wu Bangguo, chairman of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee.
