A car bomb killed at least 14 people in the northern Baghdad neighborhood of al-Adhaniya on Friday, police said.
The target of the attack was not immediately clear, but witnesses said that the blast took place outside a mosque near the royal cemetery in the center of the neighborhood.
Earlier, gunmen clashed with policemen at a police station in the area, police said, without giving further details.
The neighborhood is one of hot spots of insurgency against US troops and their allies in the Iraqi government.
