Japan to stop free capital cooperation with China
font size

Japan will not approve new free capital cooperation projects with China starting from 2006.

Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun reported the Japanese government is also phasing out the low interest credit to China, and is preparing for the end of the credit.

Last year, Japan provided 5.2 billion yen, or about 50 million U.S dollars of free capital cooperation projects, and 96.7 billion yen, or more than 920 million of low interest credit to China.
