Chinese FM to visit four African countries

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing will pay official visits to Lesotho, Seychelles, Madagascar and Mauritius, a Foreign Ministry spokesman told a press conference on December 28.

Spokesman Liu Jianchao said that Li will pay official visits to the four countries from Jan. 6 to 14, 2005 at the invitation of the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Republic of Seychelles, the Republic of Madagascar

and the Republic of Mauritius, Meanwhile, Liu noted, "Li will also attend the International Meeting for the Comprehensive Review of the Implementation of the Barbados Program of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States held in Mauritius as the special envoy of President Hu Jintao."
