Cambridge University publishes new volume of Science and Civilization in China

Christopher Cullen, director of the Joseph Needham Research Institute of Cambridge University, displays all the published volumes of Science and Civilization in China published by Cambridge University Press in London, Jan. 11, 2005. Chinese Embassy to Britain and Cambridge University held a joint conference celebrating the publication of the latest-issued book called the Technology of Porcelain and Pottery which is a part of the whole work. Science and Civilization in China is a series of books planned to have 7 volumes with 28 books. It was first published in 1958 and written by Joseph Needham, a well-known British scientist and a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
