Chinese state councilor leaves Beijing for Russia

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan left Tuesday morning for a four-day official visit to Russia from Feb. 1 to 4, at the invitation of Russian Security Council Secretary Igor Sergeyevich Ivanov.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan told a regular press conference a few days ago that Tang would hold consultations with the Russian side on bilateral relations and major issues of common concern during his visit.
