
The State Postal Bureau of China issued the third set of stamps for the Year of the Rooster on Jan. 5, 2005. The stamp in RMB80 cents denomination is designed by Lu Shengzhong.

China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region issued four special stamps for the Year of the Rooster on Jan. 30, 2005. The stamps are the sixth set of the third Lunar-Zodiac stamp series Hong Kong ever issued.

The Zodiac sheetlet for Chinese Lunar New Year. Australia issued on Jan. 4, 2005 commemorative stamps for the Year of Rooster. It is the Australia's tenth issue Lunar-Zodiac series since 1996. The set contains two commemorative stamps (at 50 and 145 Australian cents respectively), miniature sheet, first-day cover (stamps), first-day cover (miniature sheet), stamp pack, souvenir sheet of twelve Zodiac stamps and postcard etc. Previously Australia has issued ten series of commemorative coins for the Year of the Rooster.

The United States issued a souvenir sheet of the commemorative Lunar-Zodiac stamp series on Jan. 8, 2005. The sheet contains 24 stamps (two for each year) the US issued in the past 12 years, each at 37 US cents.

Canada issued "Year of the Rooster" stamps on Jan. 6, 2005. The left one is for domestic use and right one for international. The stamps were designed to feature Chinese traditional brush painting and drawn on computer. Apart from the image of a rooster, the words reading "Year of the Rooster" in Chinese, English and French were written on the stamp.
