Two US soldiers killed in Iraq

Two US soldiers have been killed in Iraq, the US military said on Friday.

One US soldier was killed south of Mosul, some 400 km north of Baghdad, Thursday morning when a roadside bomb went off on a convoy patrol.

Another soldier was wounded in the attack. The other US soldier assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force was killed in action in Babil, a province south of Baghdad,on Thursday.

About 1,440 US servicemen have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion in March 2003.
