6 Iraqi, US soldiers killed in Iraq

Four Iraqi soldiers were killed Saturday when a motorcycle bomb exploded near their vehicle in the southern city of Basra, an army spokesman said.

In a related development, a roadside bomb explosion killed two US. soldiers and wounded five near the northern Iraqi town of Baiji Friday, the US. military said Saturday.

Since the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2004, at least 1,107 American soldiers have been killed in action. Including non-combat deaths, the toll is at least 1,444.
