Taiwan's colleges woo Macao students
font size

Taiwanese universities and colleges have wooed Macao students with campus life and inexpensive tuition fees.

Wednesday's Macao Post reported that some 300 students in China 's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) were drawn to an enrolment introduction conference held by the Federation of Hong Kong and Macao Students, during which they were briefed on enrolment conditions and undergraduate courses offered by universities in Taiwan.

Nearly 2,100 Macao students are currently enrolled in Taiwan universities and 1,246 local students took part in Taiwanese

university entrance examinations in Macao last year, according to the federation.

Most of Macao students in Taiwan study business administration, which is followed by medicine, the arts, literature and education.
