Eritrean president leaves Xi'an for Nanjing
font size

Eritrean President Issayas Aferwerki left northwest Xi'an City on Monday for Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, to continue his China tour.

Issayas arrived in China last week for a state visit as guest of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

During his stay in Xi'an, a capital of Chinese dynasties for more than 1,000 years, Issayas visited a high-tech agricultural zone and the well-known terra cotta warriors and steeds of Qinshihuang, China's first emperor.

Vice Governor of northwest China's Shaanxi Province Zhao Zhengyong met with Issayas on Sunday.

Besides Beijing, Xi'an, and Nanjing, Issayas will also visit Shenzhen, an economic hub of south China's Guangdong Province.
