font size

Four miners fell down a shaft and died in northwest China's Shaan'xi Province Friday, according to local sources.

The tragedy happened at 6:00 a.m. Friday in the Jinniu Coalminein Yulin city of the province. The steel rope of the suspending cage in the shaft broke when the four miners were descending

down the shaft in the cage. The four fell down to the bottom of the 124-meter-deep shaft.

Right after the accident, the mine has sent rescue workers to take the four back to ground and sent them to hospital immediately.

But all the four died.

Further investigation of the accident is underway. The mine, located in the Shilatan Village of the city, is state-owned.
